COVID-19 is changing the way Canadians do business across the country. We have recognized the Design Industry must change with it and that we must optimise how we deliver for our clients moving forward. DOS Design Group has been well positioned for this transition. Below, we have outlined our enhanced our processes and procedures to help ensure our employees and clients are kept safe and healthy.
Did you know that from just one single visit to scan, measure, and document your home or commercial property that we can quote, plan, draft, design and permit your new build or renovation?
There is no need for additional site visits that could increase your exposure and potential spread of the Coronavirus. DOS can create a digital copy of your property, accurate up to 1/16th of an inch, that all project stakeholders can reference throughout the project. Again, this is all accomplished with one visit, with one technician, and you do not have to be in the room or even on site.
We can continue to create a 3D models of planned changes and have revision meetings completely remotely via conference call and screen sharing. Our staff is easily accessible and well trained to guide you through these telemeetings.
Additionally, we still offer Design through Virtual Reality. We can prepare a virtual model of your new or renovated home which will allow you to view and walk around it in VR and make informed, rapid design decisions. We have multiple VR headsets, with silicone face covers, that will be thoroughly sanitized after each use, and that are also available for rent with deposit, so that you can review designs in VR from the safety of your own home.
Our large showroom provides a one-stop shop experience where you or your builder can efficiently select your materials in one or two visits. No need to shop around and visit multiple suppliers and increase your risk of exposure. Should you want to come into our vast showroom to select your materials, we can book it just for you! Our staff will adhere to social distancing guidelines and provide hand sanitization supplies and easy access to washroom facilities for handwashing so you can have confidence in the safety of your visit.
During this pandemic, many of our designers have opted to work from home, allowing for greater social distancing for remaining staff. Additionally, our office is separate from our showroom since it is on the upper level, meaning our public showroom does not have much traffic and will be available to clients only by appointment.
Our conference room is currently still under construction, so no meetings or large gatherings will be conducted at DOS Design Group at this time, and for the foreseeable future. We encourage all clients to use teleconferencing tools, such as: Zoom, Google Meeting, or Ringcentral Meetings to have project meetings with our designers.
