We worked with DMC Contracting to complete the permit set, space planning and new interior layout for this cute Coquitlam home!
The home’s attic was too small to be useful, so we designed a brand new expansion for the upper floor. This full-height floor is now home to the master bedroom, 2 kids bedrooms, and a large shared bath.
On the main floor, the closed-off dining and living areas did not make good use of the space. We removed the adjoining walls in these rooms, as well as the front bedroom, to create a modern open-concept living space. This change makes the entire home feel larger and more inviting.
The dated kitchen at the rear of the house wasn’t very user-friendly, and didn’t take advantage of all of the storage potential for the space. We opened this room up as well, to create a better flow and add much needed storage. A new window was framed into the wall above the sink to bring in extra light and expand the view. Beautiful teal cabinets make the kitchen pop with personality!
