Nick at DOS design group is a gem. I believe the rest of the DOS design team will likely be as much of a pleasure to work with. Having spoken with a few design firms for my renovation project, I can say with 100% certainty that Nick will always try to do what’s best for the client and not what’s best for his bottom line. The care and attention to detail, the time and effort spent on simply educating a prospective client (before any money has exchanged hands) is indicative of his vast expertise and his exemplary customer service. Nick gave me confidence to make important decisions about my project without once trying to up-sell me. On the contrary he even convinced me that I could spend less and get good results. Working with DOS on our basement project was a dream. It wasn’t a matter of meeting expectations; it was exceeding expectations - even those we didn’t know we had! I have used them for the past few years and their service is amazing. They will give you a floor plan dimensioned to 1/8″ accuracy (I have checked!) complete with ceiling heights, sill heights, window heights, staircase rise and run (to determine floor to floor heights). You will receive an AutoCAD floor plan from them the day after check measure. I cannot say enough about the value add this is for projects! I have been in the business for 25 years and for 20+ of those years did my own site measures and then drafted the plans on AutoCAD. I cannot do this for the price they do.
